Ofsted has launched the much-anticipated consultation on proposed changes for FE and Skills inspections.
It follows “The Big Listen”, its largest-ever public consultation, which set out a series of key changes in how it inspects education and skills providers.
We didn’t want to wait for the proposed Ofsted framework changes to take effect before diving into the crucial topic of inclusive practices. A strong approach to inclusion benefits every learner—and every provider.
Under the proposed Ofsted framework, inclusion extends beyond SEND to encompass all disadvantaged and vulnerable learners and apprentices—those facing barriers to learning and well-being. Ofsted wants to see how providers identify these learners, understand their needs, and put effective support in place.
In this free session, we’ll unpack this critical element together, so you leave with confidence in your approach to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable learners. By strengthening your inclusion strategies, you’ll also be well-prepared to adapt to the proposed framework changes.
With decades of experience in quality assurance and improvement, we take a practical, no-nonsense approach—helping you make sense of the proposals and, more importantly, what they mean in practice.
Can’t make the date? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
This session will be led by Lou Doyle, CEO of Mesma and Senior Strategic Associate SDN. SDN and Mesma are leading experts in apprenticeships.
Mesma are quality assurance experts and provide online software, tools and in-depth support for providers across the country. The SDN team have supported over 9,000 staff, from 1,000 FE and training organisations to deliver high quality and apprenticeships.
“Thank you… you are making such a difference to the sector!”
“Cannot wait to join another class.”
“It was a really informative session with lots of practical information sharing.”
